Addiction !

It's strange to find that usually high functioning brains are prone to addiction. The adreline rush in meeting deadlines and urge for perfection is key to this fact. When a high functioning brain is kept idle, the symptoms are like a drug addiction symptoms. The uneasiness, deep urge to find something to work on, mood swings, getting to alcohol, etc. are few outcomes that are seen. People with long working hours, people who work under pressure (it can be external or internal), people who works for perfection, are few class of people who are more prone to work addiction. When this addiction reaches a height, person starts spending more time at work and cherish that time instead of indulging into social activities and family.

A perfect balance as written in few notable books implies :
"A man is balanced if he is busy while he is alone and is quiet and peaceful while he is in the middle of the crowd."
This implies when a person can learn to remain busy with his thoughts even when he is alone and can control  his thoughts while he is surrounded by other people, is a balanced one. A high functioning brain is not a gift, it can be achieved by continuously keeping it indulged in mental exercise, by continuously sharpening it and by continuous learning. But the thing we forget to mention is that it should be kept under control. I found people around me who have great brains but to keep themselves busy they do things and sometimes when it is heightened they are unable to control the thoughts coming to their minds. Once negative thoughts start coming, these people who can do myriad productive things and can make their life useful, turn into useless trash, wasting their valuable time and resources.

hot reporters of FIFA

This FIFA world cup has been a centre of attraction for all football lovers, but other than that the hot media persons also attracted the crowd. Top three of them are stated below. Well for more one can google it.

1. Sara Carbonero
Stadium media centres are never the most glamorous of places with the press pack sweating over laptops. But Spanish World Cup games are a different affair. The presence of Sara Carbonero, a TV reporter for Spanish crew Mediaset but slightly better known as the wife of Iker Casillas, certainly brightened up the place on Friday. Since 2009, Carbonero has been in a relationship with Spanish football star Iker Casillas. In July 2009, Carbonero was voted "The Sexiest Reporter in the World" by the American edition of FHM.

2. Laura Esposto
Laura Esposto (born 8 August 1978, Bologna, Italy) is a television presenter. Laura has worked as a TV presenter for Five Football Italiano a television programme in the United Kingdom showing Italian Football.

From 2003 to 2004, Laura lived in Los Angeles where she was ambassador for Carl's Jr and she carried out a series of modeling jobs. In 2007 she began presenting Channel 5's Football Italiano. Since September 2009 Laura has worked on Sky Sport (Italy). May 28, 2010 Laura presented The "Italian Candidacy" for Uefa Euro 2016 in Geneva

3. Mariana Gonzalez
Marisol Gonzalez is hot, but Mariana Gonzalez is…well, if not hotter, at least more of a true soccer reporter. She’s in Brazil right now covering the World Cup for Televisa Deportes. In England there is Adrian Chiles, while in Mexico they seem to take a wholly different approach to whom they have presenting World Cup football.
The day after we introduced you to Ines Sainz, another female Mexican presenter, Mariana Gonzalez, has attracted attention before the match with Brazil. Ms Gonzalez was sent onto the streets as a roaming reporter before the game, and the beauty took to her job in a skimpy El Tri kit complete with high heels

Intelligence, a gift or a curse. Part - I

Trust me when I say intelligence is a curse, I mean it. When I addresses intelligent person, although I mean an analytical thinker, left-brain thinkers, but Intelligence is a very vague and very vast term, it can't be judged by one's daily activities, by one's work, it's something implicit. When you sit besides an intelligent person, you can feel it, appreciate it but you can't put it in numbers or charts. But the question I am addressing here, do they themselves enjoy this gift?
A gift has a curse attached to it, just like a two faced coin. It has been said that a beautiful mind is a terrible thing to waste. And yet, it would seem like every day I live is just one step closer to wasting this mind of mine. One would think that a better brain could only make its owner’s life easier. But it is the most counter-intuitive thing in the world. Gifted children more often that not, quickly becomes outcasts. Either they go inward, ignoring everybody and living a very quiet, introverted life or they become arrogant, confrontational or even destructive. And then, mental illness kicks in.
First of all I will quote few disadvantages of intelligence, but my main purpose of writing this article is to discuss why.
Logic, not emotion, rules in the land of the analytical. The very traits that make an analytical person poor with people make them good with computers.
Perhaps there are one or more of these curses of the analytical thinker:
1. Night owl
Studies show that people with higher IQ stay up late at night, so logically they wake up later. Experts say that it should not be surprising because intelligent people often choose night hours for reading, studying, analysing, writing. The brain, due to the work, awakens and they find it hard to fall asleep later. The downside is that a good night's sleep is important for health and normal functioning of the human.
2: Loners/ Hard to find a partner
Analyticals would rather spend time alone with a good book or movie than with people. It's not that they dislike people, per se. The intelligent people hardly meet people because they are reclusive and often have high standards. But the good news is that once they find a suitable partner, they enjoy much better life than people of average intelligence. They just find them boring, uninspiring, and mundane. I mean, really, when was the last time you found someone who wanted to discuss the theory of relativity or the law of diminishing marginal returns?
3: Information addict
Analytical thinkers just can't get enough information. They devour Web pages about everything from the weather to the latest high tech gadget. They have voracious appetites for facts and figures of any kind. They head straight for the specifications page when shopping for anything more technologically sophisticated than an alarm clock. I can understand how this behaviour might be really annoying to a family member.
4: Vacillatory
Most people see only one side of a controversial issue. Not the analytical thinker. To him, every issue has pros and cons. To him, the glass can be both half full and half empty at the same time. He always try to see pros and cons in every situation, be it anything from merely buying a simple item to a life changing decisions.
5: Indecisive
Because the analytical likes to gather as many facts as possible before making an informed decision, he may be perceived by others as being indecisive. The phrase "lead or get off the pot" could apply to the analytical manager who is so busy gathering information that he often overlooks the value of a quick, definitive decision.
6: Insensitive
As their most of the thinking is based on logic and their quench for information which is insatiable, makes them less sensitive when it comes to social terms. They analyse most of the things logically hence for them emotions, feelings are kind of a hindrance.
7: Habitual
It can be hard to for analyticals to break their habits. They prefer the predictable, daily routine and are resistant to change. It's not that they can't accept change; analyticals would just prefer it not intrude upon their comfort zone
8: Socially inept
Analyticals take matters literally -- too literally. It is not the intention of the analytical to be critical but rather to provide an honest assessment, although it is almost always perceived as criticism.
9: Skeptical
Politicians, of all people, know that it's hard to fool a logical thinker. If you want to sell anything to left-brain thinkers, you'd better explain why they need it. An analytical needs facts, not feelings or persuasive platitudes.
Every curse is a blessing in disguise. Because analytical thinkers like information in tabular format, I give you the 10 blessings for the aforementioned curses:

Each curse can be viewed as a blessing.
Give your favourite analytical person a break the next time you want to scream at him. The characteristics you find so annoying do have positive benefits to society.

Intelligence, a gift or a curse. Part - II

This is the final part of the previous post.
Earlier, I pointed out some of the qualities, rather disadvantages of intelligent beings, here I am going to discuss it why by quoting a very simple examples from my day to day life. First of all, let me put very rigidly, "It's not their fault", as said in the famous movie "Good Will Hunting", a story of a genius boy who doesn't know what to do with his intelligence.
A high functioning brain can be a gift and can be curse at times. Those who have seen Sherlock Holmes series may remember the scene where a high functioning socio-path Sherlock finds himself agitated when he had no case to solve, whereas he finds eternal joy in solving puzzles and crime cases. It's very common problem with functioning brain (I won't say even high functioning brain). These people need to keep themselves busy which can be by becoming a information gatherer, a workaholic,...They keep their brain indulged in their activities, which can be from indulging themselves in a project, in a research, or making a painting, solving puzzles to reading a book, working on their laptops, surfing internet. The moment they are out of work, their brain starts asking for something to work upon, their quench starts driving them insane. It's like a burning splinter in the head, keep the devil busy otherwise it will drive you insane. I have experienced it, a nightmare for me.
From here one more interesting thing is derived, the work that fascinates them is always their top priority, all other things are like a mere duties. Their continuous urge for finding new and new things, and tinkering attitude, is a gift when it comes to an academic or a professional person, but it's a worse curse when it comes to a social guy.
For them, talking about daily topics which commonly people do is mere waste of time and resources. They find common people's talks as boring, mundane and simply illogical. However they don't consider themselves superior or hate people, it's just they can't stand the low IQ talks of the lesser mortals. At first you may find such a guy introvert or laconic, but try to talk to him about something beyond normal, Einstein's theory of relativity or Quantum computers, then see he will be the most efficient listener and speaker you have ever encountered. Few of the high functioning people develop a sense of superiority and pride while others remain down to earth.
Their talks, daily routines, everything is based on logic. For them every has a pros and a con. They ask questions to themselves during every act. A simple purchase can be a topic of consideration for them. That's why they are sometimes indecisive, they find it hard to take quick decisions without considering it pros and cons. They always go for details information considering every aspect and then they take decisions.
I remember once I was sitting with my friend in CCD. He is one 'intelligent" guy. While other couples were busy in their romantic chats, some people talking and laughing, some discussing political scenario, he was discussing his new project ideas with me. When a normal person walks down the lane, what he sees, he see people coming and going, vehicles moving, etc, but for a high functioning guy this is all something else. Maybe in his mind, he is thinking about how to model human walk or traffic jam. The point is that they are busy with their thoughts, which make them outstanding and introvert. These people are not hard to understand but socially hard to deal with.
I haven't met a 100% of such person, but a mixture of a normal person with a high functioning brain, they are both sensitive and analytical at times. Once they find you as a person of same frequency or tuning, they can be your best friends or partners.
I am not writing this article because I have to do some kind of research on people with high functioning brain. These are all my experiences which I am spitting out in this post. I am writing this because I am getting bored in this office where I find work too little to keep me busy, people gossiping around which I too find boring and illogical, and most importantly I too need to keep my functioning brain busy.
